Abstract:
The Incunabula and Early Printed Book Leaves Collection contains 67 individual 15th, 16th, and 17th century printed leaves dated between 1472 and 1618, the bulk of which are from incunabula dated between 1472 and 1499 from France, Germany, and Italy. Most leaves are printed in Latin, though some are in German, Greek, English, Italian, and other vernacular European languages. The collection also includes an undated vellum sheet of Gregorian chant printed in square notation with text in Latin, and 9 unidentified leaves. Many of the leaves are decorated or illuminated.
