Background

Biographical / historical:

Madge Bellamy was an American actress active in film from 1920 to 1935. Although she attained considerable popularity in the 1920s, contractual disputes led to her being employed only fitfully in the 1930s. In 1943 she regained headlines when she was involved in a shooting.
