Scope and content:

The Alex N. Albright, Wilmington Lions Club President’s Book documents his tenure as President of the Wilmington Lions Club from June 1954 to June 1955. The scrapbook includes photographic prints, announcements, programs, convention materials, rosters, autographs of fellow members, and newspaper clippings describing the philanthropic and social activities of the organization. Most notable are clippings documenting the Lions Associated Drag Strip, a non-profit corporation organized by eleven Harbor District Lions Clubs in an effort to combat juvenile delinquency.
