Tina Valentin Aguirre is a genderqueer activist, filmmaker, writer, and cultural administrator with extensive involvement in the Bay Area queer Latinx community since the 1980's. The collection contains materials related to their community work and art, including cards, programs, posters and flyers for the Queer Latina/o Arts Festival, National Queer Arts Festival and other cultural festivals in the Bay Area; issues of a la brava; an issue of Estos Tiempos; a medal from the Imperial Court of San Francisco; ephemera for the memorials of Francisco X. Lamora and John Juarez. The collection also contains items related to Aguirre's personal history, including correspondence; certificates; and photographs.
