Scope and content:

The collection contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, and other ephemera from Kathy Buchoz' time as mayor of the city of Westminster and beyond, focusing on the city, its Little Saigon area, and the experience of Vietnamese Americans there. Kathy Buchoz served two terms as Mayor on the Westminster City Council in the 1980s. She was a member of the Westminster Chamber of Commerce since 1976. After her years in public service, she was the property manager and leasing agent for Bridgecreek Realty, working in this role for more than thirty years to develop businesses primarily in the Little Saigon area of Orange County, California.

Biographical / historical:

Kathy Buchoz is the owner of KB & Associates, a business consulting company since 2012, working in the commercial real estate industry assisting developers and small businesses to expand, re-locate, apply for CUP's, tenant improvements and entitlements in Westminster and surrounding cities.

Kathy was the property manager and leasing agent for Bridgecreek Realty more than thirty years helping to develop businesses primarily in the Little Saigon area. She has been a member of the Westminster Chamber of Commerce since 1976, and served two terms as Mayor on the Westminster City Council and is involved in numerous non-profit organizations.
