The San Jose Public Library, California Room collection contains texts and audiovisual material (moving images and audio) from the 1940s to 2000s. A majority of the collection consists of movies and recordings concerning Frontier Village, a western-themed aumesment park that opened in 1961 and closed in 1980. Other materials include texts from "El Excentrico," a bilingual magazine covering Latino culture in the Santa Clara Valley from 1949 to 1980.
