The Huntington Library is one the world's great independent research libraries, with more than nine million items spanning the 11th to 21st century. These extraordinary and diverse materials are centered on fourteen intersecting collection strengths, some of which are: British History; Early Printed Books; Hispanic History and Culture; History of Science, Medicine, and Technology; Maps and Atlases; Prints, Posters, and Ephemera; Photography; Pacific Rim; California; and American History. Digitized materials from these vast collections aim to support the research needs of Huntington readers and staff and to share resources with a broader community. New content is regularly added, yet only a fraction of the Huntington Libraryโ€™s more than nine million items is available in digitized form.
