The Barnes collection of rare books contains over 80 publications related to the field of spiritualism.

The Joseph Campbell collection consists of artifacts and audiovisual materials, including lecture recordings and film, that were created or collected throughout the course of his lifetime, as well as his personal library (catalogued separately). There are approximately 1,200 audio taped lectures and video tapes from during the decades he taught at Sarah Lawrence College, Eranos, Esalen, and elsewhere. The approximately 650 audio tape cassettes of Campbell’s public lectures reveal the scope of his interests in comparative mythology, religious studies, the hero’s journey, Indian mythology, the literature of James Joyce and Thomas Mann, and the psychologies of Sigmund Freud and C.J. Jung. Consists of two series: 1) Artifacts and 2) Audiovisual.

The Downing collection includes memento folders from 1955 through 2006, manuscripts, personal and professional correspondence, lecture outlines and notes, syllabi, and recordings of many of the courses she has taught over more than four decades.

The collection includes Marija Gimbutas’ papers and her personal library. Her papers focus on her professional life during the years she lived in California and taught at UCLA, and cover her teaching and research through extensive lecture notes, extensive research notes, photographs, slides and maps, manuscripts for articles and books, articles and reprints, and figurines from her personal collection.

The Guggenbühl-Craig collection includes manuscripts in English and German as well as notes for lectures and symposia.

The Hillman collection is predominately comprised of manuscripts, drafts, research files, and publishing agreements for most of his books, essays, lectures, and collaborative volumes. It also includes unpublished lectures and writings, as well as audio versions of seminars and lectures, and correspondence with friends, scholars, colleagues, and artists.

Manuscripts, drafts, charts, notes and correspondence related to published and unpublished works, including Archetypal Psychology, Archetypal Universe, and materals relating to The Goddess Project (Conference).

The Sanford collection includes his own works as well as volumes from A Select Library of The Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers of The Christian Church, The Ante-Nicene Fathers Translations of The Writings of The Fathers Down To A.D. 325, books by Fritz Kunkel, and other religious and Jungian publications.

The Katherine (Katie) Sanford collection includes 62 original oil paintings that appear in The Serpent and the Cross, as well as personal correspondence, drafts, sketches, watercolors, published works, and audio lectures.

The Hollister Wheelwright papers include research notes, manuscripts for articles and books, essays and books, correspondence files, and photographs.
