In 1963, UC President Clark Kerr established a systemwide UC records management program to manage the increasing volume of university records and to ensure the preservation of records of historical importance. UC archives are intended to support UC’s commitment to instruction, research, and public service as stated in the "Master Plan" (1960) and "A Review of the University of California, a multi-campus System in the 1980s". Materials found in the UCSF Fresno Archives include the history of UCSF Fresno, photographs, collections, and notable publications.
