This collection relates to the California Post-Secondary Education Commission (CPEC) collected by the Chancellor’s Office of the California State University. Mostly consists of CPEC reports (1976-1994), but also includes minutes, agendas (1975-1980), correspondence and other materials. Reports cover all aspects of post-secondary education including faculty salaries, student profiles, educational fiscal profile, libraries, educational equity, student fees, community college, degrees, enrollment, and many other subjects.

Abstract Or Scope
Records of the Curriculum Development and Supplemental Materials Commission, commonly called the California State Curriculum Commission (CC), relating to textbook purchasing for California elementary, middle and high schools in the mid 1960’s. Included in the collection are meeting agendas, meeting minutes, memorandums, correspondence, letters, newspaper and magazine articles, and critiques of the proposed eighth grade textbook “Land of the Free”. Five editions of “Land of the Free” and one teacher’s manual are also included in the collection.
The California State Employees’ Association collection contains its own correspondence, constitutions, meeting minutes, reports, and bulletins from 199 through 1938. It also includes correspondence and union newsletters from American Federation of Teachers from the 1960s; the United Professors of California Advocate (1971-1989) and collective bargaining source material from the 1960s; California College and University Faculty Association correspondence; California Teachers Association bulletin from 1928; The Scope, a newsletter from the Faculty of the California State Colleges (1966-1970); and flyers from the 1970s from the Clerical and Allied Services Employees and College and University Service Employees.
